(Kaieteur News) – A three-year-old boy reportedly drowned in the Essequibo River at Agatash Village, Region Seven, during the early afternoon hours on Friday.
The child has been identified as Keron Atkinson. According to reports, he was in the company of his seven-year-old cousin when he went underwater.
Police, relatives and villagers reportedly joined efforts to search the nearby waters in the hope of finding the toddler alive.
