PNP Women’s Movement calls for psycho-social support for Shani Coke’s family and Troy community

KINGSTON, Jamaica—The PNP Women’s Movement is calling for psycho-social services to be immediately provided to the community members and family of 10-year-old Shani Coke whose partially nude body was found with her throat slashed on a dirt track in bushes in Tyre district near Troy, Trelawny, Tuesday evening.
The PNP Women’s Movement made the call on Thursday in a press release.
Shaneen Roberts, vice president of the group with responsibility for Trelawny said “The people of Troy and the wider Trelawny have been rocked by this incident. We must stand with them as we navigate this time of extreme grief.”
