FAMILY members and friends of Amelia Hernandez streamed into the JE Guide’s Funeral Home in San Fernando yesterday for her final rites.

Hernandez was shot and killed while attempting to protect her three-year-old daughter while at the playpark at Jade Court in Couva on Carnival Friday.

Members of the media were not allowed to attend the funeral but, during an interview last week, Hernandez’s mother, Pamela Clarke, said that the pain of her daughter being murdered was immense.
