Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Sean Sobers says Trinidad and Tobago is not considering using national identification cards for regional travel at this time.
He explained if this were to happen in the future, it would first have to be discussed and approved by the Cabinet before moving forward.
“At this point in time, Trinidad and Tobago is not considering a similar operation and in any event it would have to be a matter that is discussed and agreed at a Cabinet level,” he said in response to questions from the Express yesterday.
