(Kaieteur News) – Senior Minister in the Office of the President with Responsibility for Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh, has credited private sector investment and the productivity of Guyanese workers for Guyana’s continued economic expansion, as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recognises the country’s strong oil and non-oil activity.
In a statement published on his official Facebook page on Friday, Dr. Singh acknowledged businesses that continue to invest confidently in Guyana and expand the production of goods and services.
“I want to acknowledge the role that was played by the private sector by continuing to invest so confidently and boldly in Guyana and by continuing to expand their production of goods and services, which is really what underlies this economic growth,” the minister stated.
