Pan-Africanists in Barbados marked the Day of National Significance on Sunday with a bus tour as part of the Season of Emancipation activities.
The tour began at Golden Square Freedom Park and focused on the contributions of National Hero Clement Payne.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with responsibility for Pan-African Affairs and Heritage, Trevor Prescod, outlined the day’s activities and highlighted the significance of the observance.
