Reverend Dr. Baird and Doug E. Fresh to receive honourary degrees

The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus will confer honorary degrees on international hip-hop artist Doug E. Fresh and founder of Mount Zion’s Missions Barbados Foursquare Church, Reverend Dr Lucille Baird.

Doug E. Fresh is being recognised for his contribution to the arts through hip-hop music.

Born in Harlem, USA, the “Original Human Beatbox” has helped to lay the foundation for hip-hop culture around the world.
