St George North emergency organisation receives disaster preparedness equipment

Communities across Barbados are receiving a boost in their ability to respond to emergencies.

The St George North District Emergency Organisation has received new communications and information technology equipment under a European Union-funded programme aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness.

The handover marks the end of the seven-year Building Resilience in CARIFORUM States Programme.
