KINGSTON, Jamaica—Tipsters to Crime Stop were paid a total of $10.3 million in 2025 when compared to the $7.5 million paid out in 2024.

At the same time, total arrests increased by 38.2 per cent to 76, as documented in the 2025 edition of the Economic and Social Survey Jamaica, a publication of the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ).

According to the publication, the number of tips received by Crime Stop was 809, a 6.7 per cent reduction when compared to prior year. Those tips resulted in 76 arrests, an increase on 38.2 per cent over 2024 figures.
