The Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) has pushed back against claims that services at the Orthopedic and Physiotherapy Clinics at the Sangre Grande Hospital Campus were delayed on Wednesday morning, insisting that clinics commenced at their scheduled time of 7:30 a.m.
According to the Authority, the lobby and related areas at the clinic underwent a thorough sanitisation at 6:00 a.m. — a full hour and a half before the scheduled clinic start time — in keeping with standard Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines.
The sanitisation process, the ERHA explained, is carried out routinely to prevent the spread of micro-organisms and to protect both patients and healthcare workers.
