KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party (PNP) is calling on State Minister in the Ministry of National Security, Juliet Cuthbert Flynn, to state publicly whether she is under investigation by the Integrity Commission for illicit enrichment.

The PNP, in a press release on Wednesday, said it is deeply troubled by deleted social media posts by Cuthbert-Flynn in which the party said she appeared to minimise the seriousness of illicit enrichment as a criminal offence.

“The posts include statements which indicate that Mrs Cuthbert-Flynn may herself be the subject of Integrity Commission scrutiny. However, instead of clarifying this, she chose to delete her posts,” the PNP said. “The Jamaican people, both at home and in the diaspora, deserve honesty and precision from their public officials, particularly one entrusted with national security.”
