Minister stresses importance of professional journalism

Minister of Home Affairs and Information Gregory Nicholls says Barbados must continue investing in professional journalism if democracy is to remain strong.
Speaking to members of the Barbados Association of Journalists and Media Workers (BARJAM), the Minister said journalists play an important role in promoting informed public debate.
He also addressed the issue of freedom of speech in an evolving technological landscape.
