As early voting in the New York Democratic Primary got under way on Saturday, Trinidadian-born New York State Assembly member Jaime Williams drew support from a broad coalition of elected officials, labour organisations, faith leaders and community advocates across Brooklyn.
Early voting continues through Sunday, June 21, with election day on Tuesday, June 23.
Williams, representative for the 59th Assembly District in Brooklyn, told the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) that the endorsements reflect her work on affordability, neighbourhood investments, community services, and support for homeowners, tenants, seniors, and working families throughout the 59th Assembly District.
