Police are investigating a report of sacrilege at a temple in Debe.

According to police, Reshma Dhularie Dayanand of Boodoo Trace Branch #3, Debe, secured the Saraswatee Prakash Mandir located at LP 26 Boodoo Trace, by locking all doors and windows sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 a.mm on Monday.

Dayanand told police that upon returning to the temple around 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday, she observed a bag containing grocery items in a garbage bag outside a door on the southern side of the building. A further check revealed an open window on the western side of the temple and several items missing.
