This was the rulÂing of JusÂtice CarÂol GobÂin as she seeks to adÂdress the first step in the case where five men are suÂing the church, the chilÂdren’s home, a forÂmer emÂployÂee of the home and the State for their role and lack thereÂof in their alÂleged physÂiÂcal and sexÂuÂal abuse.
The church and chilÂdren’s home are beÂing repÂreÂsentÂed by SeÂnior CounÂsel GreÂgoÂry Delzin, who iniÂtialÂly said he needÂed unÂtil the end of FebÂruÂary to get propÂer inÂstrucÂtions as well as records provÂing the men atÂtendÂed the home durÂing the peÂriÂod they claimed they were abused.
