A wage is more than a payment for work performed; it represents dignity, security and hope for workers and their families.

The observation came from Member of Parliament for St. James South and Minister of Technological and Vocational Training, Sandra Husbands.

She was at the time contributing to the debate on the Protection of Wages Bill 2026 in the House of Assembly today.
