Attorney Prakash Ramadhar is calling on the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service to clean up its act following the acquittal of a 26-year-old who was a minor when he was charged with raping a seven-year-old girl.
During a news conference at his office in Curepe yesterday, he said the officers failed to follow due process in the case.
According to Ramadhar, the High Court ruled earlier this week that the prosecution of the man, who was 13 years old at the time of the charge and offence of rape, was malicious.
