Chevening scholars aim to push energy transition

For all 64 years of this country’s time as an Independent nation, the oil and gas sector has been the backbone of T&T’s economy.

However, the fields of study chosen by the two recipients of the Chevening Scholarships to pursue master’s degrees in the United Kingdom are connected to the areas of climate change policy and sustainable energy systems.

Both stressed the need for transition in the energy sector.
