Trinidad-born United States (US) District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, on Monday, reportedly blocked the Trump administrationâs revamped SAVE database to check the accuracy of state voter rolls, over privacy and voting-rights violations.
According to a report by NBC News, Sooknanan, in a 75-page decision, wrote that: âThe federal government has knowingly trampled on the privacy rights of American citizens in a manner that threatens the sacred right to vote.â
âThis Court cannot stand idly by while that happens,â she continued.
