A growing wave of patriotic pride is sweeping through the city of San Fernando, as plans move forward for the construction of a towering 45 to 51-foot moko jumbie in the heart of the city, set to elevate national spirit to new heights this year.
Director of Hideout Signs Limited, Musa Rahaman, said the statue — a symbol of protection and culture, follows the recent unveiling of the 100 Steps project, marking another bold stride in celebrating national identity.
“It’s going to be the largest Moko Jumbie statue in the world, I reached out to Guinness to get it registered as a world record but we have to complete it first so we actually started the statue this week, so it’s a big project.”
