RIDEALLDAY’S acceleration in his last two races, especially December’s Mouttet Mile when he blew past LEGACY ISLE a furlong and a half out – the only horse to have challenged the leader at any point in the event – followed by his track-record run in April’s Ian Levy, proved beyond doubt that it will take a horse shipped from the mainland to halt his streak any time soon.

After sauntering 1:41.4 to smash Smile N’ Leave’s track record at eight and a half furlongs in the Ian Levy, landing this year’s first win-and-you’re-in for his Mouttet Mile defence, Saturday’s $10-million Diamond Mile should similarly fall victim to the four-year-old grey son of Vekoma.

In what could be a classic case of ‘tired fi si mi face’, the possibility exists that RIDEALLDAY could land all but one of four remaining Mouttet Mile win-and-you’re-ins - the Diamond Mile, September’s Gold Cup and one of either the Jamaica Cup or Port Royal Sprint, a sweep spared only because both will be run on Heroes Day in October.
