The JDF Warriors are the 2026 Jamaica National Club Championship (NCC) Men’s Rugby League champions after defeating first-time minor premiers Liguanea Dragons 26-10 in an entertaining grand final at the Mona Bowl on September 5.
The victory marked a significant milestone for the Warriors, who captured their first NCC title since 2008. It came in their fifth grand-final appearance. The Dragons were making just their second finals appearance since joining the competition in 2013.
The Dragons made a fast start when prop Romario Bartley crossed for a try inside the opening three minutes to put the Warriors under immediate pressure. However, the Warriors responded with a disciplined and determined display, gradually taking control of the contest.
