KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Sports Girlie is taking its national tour into a third season with a broader focus on what it means to prepare young athletes for life beyond competition.
Launched on September 4 under the theme “Elevate Everything”, season three will run from September to December and is expected to make between eight and 10 stops across Jamaica, building on the programme’s engagement with 12 school communities over its first two seasons.
Founded by Jamaican sports broadcaster and entrepreneur Jeanae Robinson, The Sports Girlie has traditionally used sport as a platform to engage young people, but the latest edition is placing greater emphasis on the skills and experiences that can shape their lives away from the playing field.
