The Ministry of Homeland Security has announced the implementation of a revised fee structure for services provided by the Immigration Division, effective January 1, 2026, citing the need to modernise border management and improve service delivery.
The adjustments, made under the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations, 2025, mark the first major revision of immigration-related fees since 2007. According to the ministry, the changes reflect the rising operational costs associated with secure document production and the technological upgrades required to support national security.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said the revised fees form part of the Government’s broader effort to modernise public services and transition toward a fully digital, cashless immigration system.
