Delay which occurred along Fitts Village Road, St James, on Tuesday were not as a result of road works or drainage work being carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW).
The traffic situation was inadvertently attributed to the ministry in a caption on the Back Page of the MIDWEEK NATION yesterday but in a clarification, the MTW said the damage to the roadway and the culvert shown in the picture appeared to have resulted from work being carried out by a utility company.
The ministry said it would meet with “a private contractor to have the situation addressed shortly”.
