A Dominican Republic-registered aircraft that went missing while en route from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Tobago has been located, and authorities say no lives were lost.
According to an article in the St. Vincent Times, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Major St. Clair Leacock, confirmed on Monday that international, regional and national agencies successfully located the aircraft after an extensive search effort.
The twin-engine Beechcraft Baron, registration HI-1145, departed Argyle International Airport on Friday, June 12th, bound for the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago with two people on board. Authorities lost contact with the aircraft after it left St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ controlled airspace, prompting the activation of emergency protocols.
