(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Education on Wednesday accused a parent of breaking the locks on two abandoned toilet facilities at Mahdia Primary School and photographing them to create the impression that the deplorable facilities are being used by pupils.
The ministry said the photographs, which have been circulating on social media, do not show the washrooms currently being used at the Region Eight school and described the portrayal as “deceptive, misleading and irresponsible.”
According to the ministry, the two toilets shown in the photographs are old, no longer in use and had been secured and locked.
