KINGSTON, Jamaica — The House of Representatives and Senate are now in recess until further notice, ending ordinary sittings ahead of Parliament’s traditional August break while leaving both chambers available to meet if urgent business arises.
The House of Representatives last met on July 14, while the Senate held its most recent sitting on July 17.
In a notice on Friday, the Houses of Parliament said there will be no ordinary sittings during the recess unless either chamber is otherwise convened.
