Four Schools Given All Clear After Bomb Threats, TTPS Sweeps Find No Explosives

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that Arima North Secondary School, El Dorado East Secondary School, El Dorado West Secondary School, and Tunapuna Secondary School were the subject of bomb threats on Friday, prompting a security response from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).

In a media release, the Ministry said it was informed that the TTPS received information concerning the threats and responded to the affected schools accordingly. Officers from the Explosive Detection and Disposal Unit and the Special Branch of the TTPS thoroughly searched each of the four schools as part of the response.

Following the completion of the security sweeps, no explosive devices or suspicious items were found at any of the schools. All four have since been cleared by the TTPS and deemed safe for the resumption of normal school operations.
