Clarendon recorded a 19 per cent reduction in major crimes between January 1 and October 3, with reported incidents down by 48 when compared to the corresponding period last year, Deputy Superintendent of Police Junior Smith has reported.
Addressing this month’s sitting of the Clarendon Municipal Corporation, Smith attributed the decline to police operational activities and the cooperation of residents, while highlighting progress in the clearance of murder cases and serious crimes from previous years.
According to the statistics presented, 203 major crimes were reported during the period under review, down from 251 in 2025, representing a 19.1 per cent reduction.
