An anti-crime exercise conducted in the Fyzabad district on Thursday morning resulted in the arrest of three men and the seizure of illegal drugs, ammunition, and a firearm.
During the operation a 43-year-old male of Delhi Road, Fyzabad was held on four outstanding affiliation warrants, a 29-year-old male of Mon Desir, Delhi Road was held on one outstanding F.I. warrant and a 25-year-old male of Archibald Street, Delhi Road was arrested for possession of 74.5 grams of marijuana.
In addition to the arrests, officers discovered and seized a quantity of narcotics and a firearm with ammunition in a bushy, overgrown area near Sewlal Trace Extension, Fyzabad. The recovered items included one black and silver metal object resembling a firearm, bearing the markings “Colt Double Eagle”, eleven rounds of 9mm ammunition and 450 grams of cannabis.
