Average diesel prices in the United States climbed above US$6 a gallon for the first time Friday, the motorists’ association AAA said, propelled by tight supplies due to the Middle East war.
The price of the fuel largely used in road hauling, agriculture and construction hit $6.06, according to the association, putting pressure on US President Donald Trump ahead of midterm congressional elections in November following his pledges of economic relief.
