Emergency Crews from T&TEC’s Distribution South Area are conducting repairs at the Fairfield Housing Development, Craignish, Princes Town, after an act of vandalism disrupted the electricity supply to customers.
Early on Saturday morning, approximately one hour after emergency personnel completed overnight restoration work, residents reported another outage which was traced to severed underground cables. Approximately 450 customers were left without supply.
Repairs to the damaged cable are in progress and supply is expected to be restored in phases, staring at 10:00 a.m. Work is expected to be completed by 12 noon.
