(Kaieteur News) – Officials in Region Six who are monitoring the recent emergence of COVID-19 cases have confirmed a decline in reported cases, attributing this positive to measures applied by authorities to tackle the virus.
At Thursday’s statutory meeting of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Regional Executive Officer (REO) Ronald Harsaywack acknowledged a spike in the virus several weeks ago, but noted that the situation is being managed.
“Indeed, a month and a half ago, we had cases of COVID in the region. We didn’t have an outbreak of COVID in the region. We need to make that clear,” Harsaywack said.
