Gonzales: Explain higher electricity bills

MEMBER of Parliament for Arouca/Lopinot Marvin Gonzales is demanding an explanation for higher electricity bills, as well as a plan to address repeated power outages and an update on water infrastructure projects promised for Port of Spain, Arima and San Fernando.

Gonzales said Public Uti­lities Minister Barry Padarath must provide timelines, progress reports and results for projects intended to improve the water supply while explaining why consumers are being asked to pay more for electricity amid continuing disruptions to the service.
