KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaicans Megan Simmonds and Britany Anderson were first and second respectively in the 100m hurdles at Wednesday’s Austrian Open in Eisenstadt, a World Athletics Continental Tour-silver meet.
Simmonds, who was second at the JAAA national championships two weeks ago, won with a wind-aided 12.51 seconds beating Anderson who ran 12.54 seconds with Germany’s Ricarda Lobe third with 13.06 seconds.
In the preliminaries, Simmonds had won her heat in 12.76 seconds (2.0m/s) and Anderson had run a wind-aided 12.85 seconds (3.4m/s).
