GEORGETOWN, Guyana/CMC – A 76-year-old cook will return to court on November 6 after he was charged with the murder of six-year-old Zi Feng Cao on October 1 this year.
Quan Sheng Li appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court and was not required to plead to the offence and was remanded to prison. The prosecution had earlier said that the post-mortem report and witness statements were still outstanding and requested additional time to compete the matter.
The six-year-old child was chopped to the neck at his East Bank Essequibo home and was pronounced dead at the De Kinderen Regional Hospital last Wednesday.
