KINGSTON, Jamaica — A minor earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale was felt in sections of Jamaica on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies (UWI).
Preliminary reports indicate that the quake occurred at approximately 4:11 pm and was felt in parts of St Catherine, Kingston and St Andrew.
The epicentre was located about 15 kilometres south of Annotto Bay, St Mary, within the Wagwater Trough North region.
