The sod has officially been turned on about eight acres of land at the Turkeyen Campus of the University of Guyana (UG) for the establishment of the fourth law school under the auspices of the Council of Legal Education (CLE) in the Caribbean.
The idea of establishing a law school in Guyana under the CLE dates back to 1996, when it was first proposed at a meeting of the Council by the then Attorney General (AG) of Guyana.
