(Kaieteur News) β Residents of Brian Sucre Junction no longer have to travel to Mahdia, Region Eight to receive healthcare services, as a new $13,250,000 health post was commissioned in their community on Friday.
Previously, it took residents approximately 45 minutes from Brian Sucre Junction to Mahdia to get access to services such as healthcare.
The new facility was commissioned by Regional Executive Officer (REO), Marti De Souza; Minister within the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, Pauline Sukhai; and Minister within the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Steven Jacobs.
