Regional Traffic Officer for Regional Division 4A, Superintendent Raun Clarke, has reported that damage-only accidents occur in Georgetown as frequently as every 15 to 20 minutes.
Clarke made the statement during a recent edition of the “Road Safety and You” programme, while discussing road safety and the volume of traffic traversing Georgetown daily.
“Every day, on a daily basis, you may have damage accidents happening every 15 to 20 minutes. You would find that we have damage accidents happening around Georgetown because persons are coming from different areas and passing through, and collisions would occur – either a fender-bender or a scratch or so forth,” Clarke said.
