Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, Marlon Morgan, says Winston Jones High School is slated to benefit from repair works following damage to sections of its buildings caused by Hurricane Melissa last October.
Morgan said that as stewards of the students’ affairs and leaders within the education sector, the Ministry remains committed to addressing their concerns, noting that many students from lower-income households and communities located far from the school make tremendous sacrifices to access education.
He was speaking during the institution’s commencement exercise and 50th anniversary celebrations, held on the school’s campus in Prattville, Manchester on October 7.
