Da­ta from Ar­rive Alive in­di­cates that Trinidad and To­ba­go con­tin­ues to record se­ri­ous road traf­fic ac­ci­dents, al­though fa­tal­i­ties so far this year are sig­nif­i­cant­ly low­er com­pared to the same pe­ri­od in 2025.

Pro­vid­ing sta­tis­tics up to April 7, 2026, the ad­vo­ca­cy group re­port­ed a to­tal of 26 ac­ci­dents re­sult­ing in 27 fa­tal­i­ties be­tween Jan­u­ary 2025 and April 7, 2025. In con­trast, for the com­pa­ra­ble pe­ri­od in 2026, there were 18 ac­ci­dents and 18 fa­tal­i­ties.

The fig­ures re­flect a 31 per cent de­crease in road traf­fic ac­ci­dents and a 33 per cent re­duc­tion in fa­tal­i­ties year-on-year.
