WASHINGTON, United States(AFP)—The United States has revoked the visa of Brazil’s ambassador to Washington, a State Department official said on Tuesday, after Brasilia refused to issue visas to two American diplomats.
The decision — which the US official said does not mean Brazil’s ambassador is being expelled from the United States — comes at a time of renewed tensions between President Donald Trump’s administration and that of his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
