The A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) lead Member of Parliament Dr Terrence Campbell has publicly challenged a sensational social media report alleging that he was caught with 43 rounds of live ammunition at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), raising questions about whether the publication of the unverified allegation amounted to public mischief.
The allegation was circulated by Invictus News under the screaming headline, “BREAKING NEWS | APNU MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT TERRENCE CAMPBELL CAUGHT WITH AMMUNITION AT CBJ AIRPORT, TIMEHRI.”
The publication claimed that Campbell was discovered with 43 rounds of live ammunition at approximately 14:00hrs while checking in for a flight to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, with onward connections.
