Two men have been arrested following a larceny involving a large quantity of processed chicken in Ste Madeleine, police said.
The victim, the proprietor of A&S Halal Meats of Guayaguayare Road, Rio Claro, told investigators she received a phone call on September 6 from a man identifying himself as “Miguel,” who placed an order valued at $34,260.
On September 11, she met the man, described as a tall, heavy-set individual with a partly bald head and greying beard, along with an accomplice, at Tarouba Link Road, Palmyra. She handed over processed chicken worth $21,380, which was loaded onto a white Kia K2700 pickup driven by the accomplice.
