(Kaieteur News) – During the PNC era, a gentleman who had been persuaded to participate in one of the many marches organised by the government received a box of food at the end of the proceedings. He opened it. Inside was cook-up rice and a generous piece of chicken. There was only one small problem. The gentleman was a vegetarian.
He examined the chicken. The chicken examined him, or so he imagined. After several hours of marching, he had discovered that his employers, under whose banner he had marched, had made no provision for him.
