The Me­dia Com­plaints Coun­cil (MCC) has an­nounced its new­ly ap­point­ed mem­bers, who of­fi­cial­ly took up their roles on 1st June 2025.

Chaired by vet­er­an jour­nal­ist Lennox Grant, the oth­er mem­bers are Stephen Wil­son, Joanne Tra­cy Far­rag and Charles Carter. Their ap­point­ments were for­malised by Dou­glas Wil­son, pres­i­dent of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Pub­lish­ers and Broad­cast­ers As­so­ci­a­tion (TTP­BA).

The MCC was es­tab­lished in 1997 fol­low­ing a gov­ern­ment green pa­per on me­dia reg­u­la­tion. The TTP­BA cre­at­ed the coun­cil as an in­de­pen­dent body to en­force the me­dia’s Code of Prac­tice.
