The Media Complaints Council (MCC) has announced its newly appointed members, who officially took up their roles on 1st June 2025.
Chaired by veteran journalist Lennox Grant, the other members are Stephen Wilson, Joanne Tracy Farrag and Charles Carter. Their appointments were formalised by Douglas Wilson, president of the Trinidad and Tobago Publishers and Broadcasters Association (TTPBA).
The MCC was established in 1997 following a government green paper on media regulation. The TTPBA created the council as an independent body to enforce the media’s Code of Practice.
