Sunshine Girls head coach Sasher-Gaye Henry-Wright says her team must cut out making unforced errors after battling to a hard-fought 45-43 victory over hosts Scotland in their Pool B contest at the Commonwealth Games Championships in Glasgow yesterday.

The victory was Jamaica’s third in four matches and kept the Sunshine Girls firmly on course for a place in the semi-finals of the competition. They will conclude their Pool B campaign today against Wales, with the match scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Jamaica time.

The Henry-Wright-coached Jamaicans were without veteran goal shooter Romelda Aiken-George, who was rested for the contest. In her absence, Azara Wilmot produced a good display with 28 goals from 35 attempts, while Shanice Beckford added 15 goals from 18 attempts. Rhea Dixon also contributed two goals from four attempts.
