(Kaieteur News) – In narcissistic households, one parent is typically the narcissist/abuser, while the other is a passive enabler, betraying children’s trust. Narcissism is diagnosed when an individual meets at least five of nine criteria: grandiosity, fantasies of success, belief in superiority, excessive need for admiration, sense of entitlement, exploitative behaviour, lack of empathy, chronic envy, and arrogance.
These traits often develop as a means of projecting superiority for survival. Narcissists lack a stable identity and self-esteem, and function emotionally at the level of a toddler. They will hide your things and help you look for it. They often repeat these patterns with their own children.
